Prague's historical center is a must see for all visitors. But it only tells part of the history. One of the biggest struggles for Prague was transitioning from Communism. During Communist times people lived in fear. They were places in panel buildings where the walls were so thin that your neighbors could hear you. If you said something anti-Communist you, your family and your children would pay for it. I want to show visitors an area in Prague far from the center where people still live in panel buildings. It is a beautiful area of Prague 13 where the metro passes over a lake in a tunnel like bridge. There is a play ground and the area is full of life. I would like to tell you about the impacts of Communism while showing you part of Prague that most locals don't even know about. I would like to walk you through this beautiful area and tell you a bit about Czech history as well.
At your request.
We can meet anywhere you like and then I will take you on the metro to get to this area. You will need a valid transportation pass or I can help you buy one at the station. When we get there we will walk through the area while I tell you about the place and the history. At the end I can take you back to the stop we met at or I can recommend a nice restaurant for you to have beers or a meal in.
