Description:

Why are giant babies climbing on the Zizkov Tower? Is the Charles Bridge made out of eggs? Why is there a metronome on Letna Hill? Prague is more than just beautiful-- it is full of strange, fascinating sometimes-unbelievable stories. You will visit places that will really get you "under the skin" of Prague. From the game-changing "defenestration" sites, to the dodgy monoliths of communism, to present-day Vinohrady where you can visit a bar dedicated to Homer Simpson. . . See a Prague that is quirky and curious - and definitely no fairy tale! Boy, will you entertain your friends at home!

Additional information:

Trip includes a free beer at u Houmra, plus a crash course on the mysteries of Prague public transport. Wear comfortable shoes!

Meeting point:

Kafka Statue, Josefov

Itinerary:

Starting at the Kafka Statue in Josefov, we will visit and view the quirkiest sites in Prague center, crossing the river by foot to Kampa Island (including a pit stop at a very special hot dog stand--) Then we'll board the infamous tram no.22 (the "tourist gobbler"-- but don't worry! You'll have the right ticket! I promise!) We'll go to Nusle Bridge and see a view of Prague's darker side; then head for a beer in Vinohrady at u Houmra, Prague's only bar dedicated to the life& works of Homer Simpson.
